Let’s Hack for Equality to shut down Inequality… Let the games begin!

 

  • This contest is open to all the working professionals in India.
  • You can either work individually or form a team of up to 4 members, provided every member of the team meets the eligibility criteria.

 

We believe in gender equality and therefore, we would ask the teams to be gender-balanced in terms of participants. Participants who can form a team with equal gender representation will be given one additional bonus point. For instance, teams with a majority representation of a single-gender will not get any bonus points. The organizer can change this criterion during the contest.

 

  • Round 1 - Idea submission: Register for this hackathon and form teams of up to 4 participants and submit your ideas based on the themes given below.
  • Round 2 - Prototype submission: Shortlisted teams from Round 1 will submit their prototypes.
  • Round 3 - Grand Finale: Final shortlisted teams from Round 2 will present their prototypes in front of the Accenture jury!

Equality in diversity

A diverse workforce helps in better understanding the customers, breaking down language barriers and increasing employee satisfaction. We are looking for innovative solutions to ensure that everyone is treated equally and given the same set of opportunities regardless of their race, age, gender, disability, culture or anything else that they might be discriminated against. We invite you to submit solutions to develop new perspectives, innovations, and strategies for promoting equality in the workplace. Eg: A platform that encourages hiring people from diverse backgrounds widens the range of thinking, or an application that helps people from diverse backgrounds(but all of them talented) to stimulate their creativity by allowing them to present their unique ideas.

Work life balance

In today's 24/7 plugged in work-from-home schedules, work-life balance can seem like a daunting challenge. We are looking for solutions that can help redefine work/life productivity and wellness. It may be a communication app or software that can keep conversations organized and easy to follow, as opposed to shifting through long email chains that only some people read and even fewer respond to.

Employee Attrition

People are the lifeblood of an organization. Employee attrition is an extremely important and relevant business problem all organizations face. The major problem with high attrition is the cost to the organization and the time and resource investment. We invite you to propose ideas that can help in predicting and finding proactive ways of reducing attrition using technologies of your choice For eg: use available data/ and create modeling tools to predict which employees are more likely to leave given some attributes like absenteeism, stagnation in a role, active disengagement, etc.
